Zeapril is a specially developped formula for foliar application in maize*. Carefully selected composition stimulates intensive cell divisions at the initial stages of plant development, therefore ensuring better rooting under the conditions of adequate water availability in the period of april-may.
Intensive cell divisions in the initial stages of plant development result in formation of a better developped rooting system and a stronger stem. All this helps in providing better tolerance to droughts in the following stages and from there - to higher yields.
Specially selected surfactants assure provision of equally distributed film on the leaf surface, which prevents washing or premature evaporation of other active ingredients.
Application timing:
Zeapril is applied from 4-6 to 8-10 leaf stage of crop establishment.
Dosage:
Zeapril is applied at 500-600 ml/ha with 150-250 L water/ha. Higher Zeapril doses and bigger water volumes are used in crops with higher density.
Zeapril can be mixed with all fungicides and insecticides, used in maize production.

Effects of Zeapril application
Zeapril treatment results in intensive cell divisions. Application of the formulation at the initial stages of crop development results in intensive cell divisions instead of cell elongation during the period of adequate water availability (second half of May - first half of June under Bulgarian climatic conditions).
As a result from the intensive cell divisions plants develop extensive rooting system at the very beginning of crop establishment. Later on this assures that the plants can better cope with droughts and therefore - accumulate vegetative mass for longer periods. The overall effect is manifested in higher plant biomass (recorded in trials, focused on silage / fermentation biomass production - see table), as well as in maintaining the plant canopy green under the condiitons of extended droughts (picture to the left).
